Barbara,
This has to be our dad's (Hugo) father, Carlo, who married Elvira Marchette, our grandmother, who lived in Richmond. Dad never mentioned his father to me. He took me and Bill over to visit our Grandmother by bus on a Sunday, at least once a month or so. Our Mother would be with us from time to time and we would stay for lunch. (Good Italian cook). I remember how difficult it was to understand her because of her Italian accent. Very interesting info on our Onesty family. Interesting, also, that the name "Onesty" had to be spelled "Onesti" in Italy because there is no "Y" in the Italian language. Must have been changed at Ellis Island when they came to America. Dad was born in 1890 and this info says his Dad, Carlo, died in 1907 (when Dad was 17). But, again, he never mentioned his Dad, as I recall, nor did I ever ask about him, for that matter. Don't remember seeing any photos of him at our Grandmothers home. Believe her home area in Richmond was called Ginnis Park (?), over near Sheil's(sp) Lake.
Good info.......................................Joe
