this man was no more a part of our family - or "stepfather" than a cockroach would be! I for one certainly NEVER considered him as any part of my family - only as a person that my mother had unfortunately married . . . . there is no place for him here other than as a "mention" that he was married briefly to mother.
To begin with, this is not somthing for a public disscussion. I do this genealogy for myself and any who would like to know our family tree.
Geni gives me the oppertunity to follow our direct ancestral lines and anyone else who may be attached to the family. I look only at " factual" information that belongs to the record. If i were to omit anyone, the record would become incomplete. Not to mention that if i were to remove someone on the basis of personal likes or dislikes, I would create a precident that would allow others to demand omissions of people they dislike. Sometimes a family history has inclusions that are hard to accept.
But the Genealogical record is just that a record of those who came before.It does not make judgements of people (Biographies do that), it does not say who belongs where. It simply states who was who and where their place is in the family linage.
