my experience is that the best way to "explain", to American-English speakers, what the Khet sounds like, is to mention the sound of the "J" in the name of the Mexican city, Guadalajara, a name many are familiar with.

Michael...someone asked how to pronounce some names...this started awhile ago.

Heth is not pharyngeal but uvular. You articulate sound by vibrating the flap in your throat.

Since joining the collaboration pool, the field "Recently Online" in my home page is filled with activity of all my new collaborators. Unfortunatly, I can no longer see the activity of my family members as they are swamped by the huge number of collaborators. Is there a simple way to stop tracking people in the "Recntky Online" field? And, to a lesser extent in the "Recent Activity" field?

Yes. Go to Settings / Recent Activity / Online Collaborators (at the bottom) and uncheck the box.

Brendan, Thanks for the info on settings, recent activity online collaborators, I too am swamped and can't see my active family members.

My only concern is the integraty of the tree. I've had tons of requests and allowed them through but also some that just do not have enough simularities in which I deny. I'm in! I guess we can, like bees, hive this together.
Anyone have any info from Ireland before 1900?

I agree and willing to help... I may be a little slow to merge but willing to collaborate.
