All I know about this great grand father, is that he died when he went hunting with a group of his workers. They ate fish and a fishbone got stuck in his throught. He died of that.
I think his name is supposed to be Cornelis, not Cornelus. My father is named Cornelis Johannes. Maybe after him. Then he might be the other brother, and not this brother, Cornelus August Eduard? I would so appreciate if someone can help. He was deffinetly maried to Catharina Maria (de la Rey). My aunt is named after her. She was the youngest of the 10 De la Rey children. (Father Genl Koos de la Rey).
