Does anyone have any information about her parents? I had been told by my grandmother that Caroline was a Native American adopted into the Colt family in New England. Apparently she was trained to be a teacher, moved to the Potomac Valley Highlands of Hardy County, Virginia (now Grant County, WV) from Connecticut in the mid 1830s. I have done tons of research and have found some leads, but there is nothing definitive. I am hoping, in connecting, to find names of her parents and/or family, adoptive or biological. Emily
