After the Russians pushed out the Germans from slovakia, Arpad became a real Communist Party member and Editor of the communist newspaper "Pravda" (Bratislava Edition).
In his position as high Communist official, he was immensely helpful in arranging for Communist authorities to give Marko Brank a passport which allowed him to leave Slovakia for the USA.
