I got these tidbits from Frieda Kellie, wife of Jim Kellie. The Kellie's are relatives to Joseph Lindford Cummings.
From a passenger Index was listed a John Joseph Cummings born about 1878 came from Ireland as a minor Was placed in an Orphanage. John Cummings SCPA date of declaration was Oct 2, 1878 not sure what some of this meant. Could this be your gtgdfather???
Jim said at one time he could take you to the Brietner Farm. Thinks he still remembers where it is at on Dennison Road in Petersburg.
