Actual name was Edward Eugene. His mother and father died when he was young (3,4, or 5 yrs old). One of his brothers raised him. He married Erma Odell Wright. My mother, Bobbie Nell Adamson Wynn was born in Cleborne Co. AL in 1935. She had two brothers, Edward Eugene Adamson, Jr. and Weldon Talmadge Adamson. They moved to So. GA in the 1930's. My grandaddy's father was James Kenneth and his mother was Sarah.
