Hi Kyle- I started this discussion thread so it we can share info with other family members who may come into it later. Great photo of William Vickers. I would love a full size copy if you have one, and I'll be sending what I have to you soon.

Welcome to the tree! Look forward to finding out more, especially with regard to Mary Porter's heritage and tribal affiliations, and following the lead on William Vickers back into England.

Kevin; I am related to William Vickers and Mary Porter from Kirkton, Ontario. I am related to her because one of my ancestors married their daughter Matilda. [Crawford Mahon]

I'd love to hear what you know about them, and in turn, I will be able to give you the information I have on Matilda's descending line. Thank you!

Thanks for the note Steve. I have Matilda on my tree but know nothing except her first name and year of birth. Any information would be wonderful. Please send me an email when you can and I will do the same. I am especially interested in photos, as I believe placing a face to a name makes all the difference! I have some biographical info about William and Mary going back to their early days in Canada, and leads on their parents, but nothing about their origins. I don't have as much time for the family history project as I'd like, but I will catch up as soon as possible. Thanks!
