Hi Everyone,
Pat called tonight and gave me a new address for Elizabeth. They moved her to a new place called "The Maples" which she says is beautiful in every way. She has her own room, the food is good, and there's plenty to do. Elizabeth doesn't seem to be suffering from dementia lately, apparently the medication they are giving her to slow down her heart is allowing the blood and oxygen to get to her brain. She is mad as hell and doesn't want to stay in this place, but they feel she'll get over this when she's been there a few weeks. Patty has bought all new sheets and towels. Brought from home her favorite pictures to hang on the wall, her best lamp etc. to make it feel more like home. The nursing staff have advised Patty to stay away till her mother acclimates to her new home.
