Grandma always limped, and once I asked her how it happened.. She said she was running across a field and stepped on a knife. I don't know how true it was, but that's the story I have.

Interesting! Her Brother had a scar from his shoulder down across his stomach he told me he fell of a horse drawn hay mower when the horse spooked and fell on the cutter he said he walked back to the house holding hid insides in, he lived but it was a nasty scar to say the least it looked like it was at least 24" long
