Wondering why it is so hard to get my family to give me any information for our family tree. You would think I was asking them for money!
I don't want your money, I just want to find out where we came from.
It's a great feeling when you find a family member that has been gone for over 100 years. I did find out I have family in Canada, PA and Ireland that I never knew I had.
I am planning a trip to Ireland(not sure when) But if you would like to come along that would be great. I'm saving my money as we speak. I would love to find the graves of my great grandparents and if I'm lucky maybe even family that is still living.
I spend about 60-80 hours a week working on the family tree, I'm finding a lot on family I never met, but can't find out anything about the ones that are still alive.
Why is it so hard to give me information???

Sure hope you were able to get to Ireland, and were able to locate your ancestry.
Some - too many to my way of thinking - folks aren't interested in history, historical research, genealogical research; yet many of these people are interested in fictional mysteries ... very strange indeed.
Maybe it's the way some history courses are taught; memorizing dates, rather than learning to see things from our predecessors' prospective.
