David was adopted by Arnold Robert WOLFSON and Loretta HART. According to David's non-identifying adoption file and the adoption papers provided by his adoptive parents, we were able to immediately discern the following:
Birth Mother: Ellen Mae KAPLAN
Birth Mother's Parents: Arthur KAPLAN and Frieda (maiden name unknown)
Birth Mother's Brother: Earl Harris KAPLAN
There was other information as well that provided other hints, but the above is certain. For example, Ellen Mae KAPLAN's residence at the time she gave birth to her son, was the home of her brother, Earl Harris KAPLAN at 3501 Oak, Manhattan Beach, CA.
Other interesting tidbits included about Ellen Mae KAPLAN:
- left handed, near sighted
- liked to bowl
- attended Wright Junior College
- born 2 Aug 1936, Chicago, IL
My step-brother would very much like to make contact with his birth family. Both his adoptive parents are deceased and he has been diagnosed with cancer. He wants very much to know something of his biological heritage before it's too late.
