I believe he died 1721

MHC Du Preez (The Du Preez family is South Africa, pg 343)

He is also duplicated, and may need to be merged. Could you assist?

-----------------------------------

b6 Philippe DES PREZ (1/x),
∗ Artois, France __.__.1681, † De
Hoop, Tulbagh 21.05.1721
»α He lived on the farms ‘Klipvallei’
in the Wagenmakersvallei
(Wellington today), ‘Artois’, and ‘De
Hoop’, both in the former ‘Land van
Waveren’ (between present-day
Tulbagh and Wolseley) De Hoop was
east of Artois and had this name until
the 1960's but it would appear that the
name has changed now. Artois (1714)
and De Hoop were respectively 64
and 57 morgen in size. After the death
of his mother, Cecilia, he inherited De
Soete Inval in Paarl.
»» Children (12): 5171, 5172, 5173,
5174, 8158, 8159, 10543, 10544,
10545, 10546, 10547, 10552
x Paarl __.__.1698, Elisabeth
PRéVOT (d.o. Charles PRéVOT &
Marie LE FEVRE), ∗ Marq, France
31.10.1683, † Tulbagh 18.01.1750 xx
Christian GOBRECHTS (1686-
1732)
»α After her divorce from Christian
Gobrechts she had to buy back Artois
and De Hoop from him, as he by the
law of that time became the owner of
all three her farms through marriage.
After her divorce from Gobrechts she
lived on her farm Artois.

Part of the problem was that Isabeau/Elisabeth Prevot was shown to be married to two men - one the son of the other - I have fixed that but I think it needs some more work. I can't do it right now but will look tomorrow if that is OK? I can do some refining tomorrow.

PS - I don't think he is duplicated - just appears in 2 places on the tree and if the relationships in the places he appears are wrong then they have to be fixed!

Thanks June, anytime is good for me. I appreciate your help a lot, thanks. Somewhere there has been a merge or something on the Du Preez tree, and it seems something has gone wrong!!!
