Can anyone tell me how to reconcile merge requests that have been pending for many months? Having been diligent about correcting any conflicting data, I am now discovering that some merge requests have not received any response since September of 2009.
Some members that are involved in the reconciliation of these mergers are online every day and have received requests as recent as within the past week and are listed as my "collaborator." Wouldn't it be a reasonable and responsible protocol if one does not want to collaborate to simply indicate that rather than just ignore such merge requests? And if so, will "canceling" the merge request suffice?
No, Ann wasn't complaining, just explaining. We think there must be some geni issue 'cause she knows I'm always willing to collaborate. Heck, I enter in-laws of in-laws on my tree. The more the merrier! LOL! Hopefully, the geni folk will figure it out. I can just see it: one day I'll get 150 merge requests. I'll be in hog heaven! :)
As I said to Marsha, my concern is because we HAVE been in communication before and I notice she's online like I all the time. Clearly, when I am merging and it finally comes to someone like Marsha, it's a no-brainer that she would respond. That's why I'm not sure what the problem is. And things CAN get a little touchy when you're wondering why there are no responses. My merges went from a respectable 170 to 318 in a couple days. That blew me away, but now that I'm seeing that everyone has the same problem I'll just go back into my genie cyber hole and wait for Godot!!! LOL!!!!
