Chris said he had been looking at the two photographs I sent me in 2007,
together with the caption document of others. He noticed many in that list have "Garden portrait by E. A. Elcombe, 162 High Street, Tonbridge" alongside them.
That got Chris wondering if there is any connection between the photographer, E. A. ELCOMBE, and the ELCOMB family of Tonbridge that Thomas and Sarah's first child Sarah MANKTELOW (baptised 1849) married into?
