Fredrick Lansittle and Kate Scieble were married in Baden, Germany in 1832. John and Henriette Lansittle were born in Rhinebier or Rhineberg Germany. They decided to come to the US in 1850 and settled near New Port, KY. The German name was changed to spell Landsiedel. The other children were born in the US under that spelling. In 1906 the name was changed again to the present spelling of Landseadel.
