I believe his father was John William. Who was in the Revolutionary war. Birth approx. 1760.

Any documents to back up the ARW service?

There is Documentation that John William served, but no documentaion that I can find that definitely connects him to us. We an document William John and the War of 1812. Our Family has his sword and I have copies of pay slips. Unfortunately the originals were lost when My house buned down in 1988.

He would have been only 14 when the ARW started and 22 at the end.
Any dates on the Pay Slips? Was he entered into the ARW from Virginia?
