Researchers now believe that there were two Captain Thomas Lee's. One was born in Ditchley, Virginia and is probably of the line of the Lee's of Virginia, Robert E. Lee's line. The other Captain Thomas Lee is the son of John Lee Esquire of North Carolina. This has been proven by DNA testing and other deeds and wills. Several of the pending merges reflect this wrong info.
