There are at least 1650 Ancestry public trees and nearly all call the wife of Peter Tribbles/Tripples the daughter of

Father James William Johnson (1656-1716)
Mother Faith Leith (1656-1702)

After looking a bit more at the various references, I'm keeping "Johnston" as daughter of Edward & Elizabeth, but adding a new profile as the wife of Peter and mother of his children (and new parents ... which hopefully can be found and/or connected with further details).

The new wife of Peter Tripples is Elisabeth Tripples.

What remains is to sort-out the siblings of these two Elizabeths.

... and that led to a match with an existing profile with James Johnson m. Faith Leith with a daughter Elizabeth/Elisabeth -- which have been merged.

The siblings still need to be examined (particularly of those currently connected with Elizabeth Johnston, dau. of Edward & Elizabeth.
