Agreed. The marriage source does indeed seem questionable. I know that there’s an Ohio in Antigonish County, NS. Given the date, in my opinion, it would be a stretch for them to have been married in Antigonish and pretty much an impossibility to get to Hamilton, Ohio, USA and back. It’s like 2,600 kms from Christmas Island.

If they did make such a trek then either they wouldn’t have made it into the History of Christmas Island Parish at all, or it would have been mentioned as something notable.

Another probable error concerns the burial place of Iain Eoghain (John Farrell) It is listed as Bedford, Pennsylvania. Ann Farrell (Gillis) has no burial place listed in her profile.

Could you take a close look at all the fields to see if anything else seems incorrect?

We should give the other managers a little time to express their opinions, but I'm thinking that they will agree that the marriage and burial need to be removed.

Poking around in Ancestry there are numerous trees confirm born & died in Benacadie. I didn't see and burial info though, but it doesn't make any sense that he would have been buried in Pennsylvania as it doesn't look like he had any connection to that area.

So I'd agree that the source was incorrectly added here. Everything else seems reasonable.

I have removed the incorrect source. I have also removed the place of burial that was incorrectly listed as Pennsylvania, United States.
