She and her duplicate 'sister' have produced first cousins once removed who are also father and son-inlaws both married to women of the same name.
The one which prompted this discussion, b. "ca. 1463" -- AFTER both parents were deceased. Also look at the siblings' dates.
Yet the duplicate? Elizabeths are married to duplicate spouses (Thomas Gerrard), with duplicate sons (William Gerrard) married to duplicate wives (Elizabeth Byrom). But only one of them (which looks like the correct one, b. 1425) has a daughter Dorothy Gerrard who is supposedly my 11th g-grandmother.
And what's peculiar about Dorothy Gerrard is that she's married to William Gerrard, MP , who is the son-in-law / first cousin once removed (without proof?) of her father, Lord William Gerrard .
Here's Dorothy Gerrard's father's relationship path to her husband of the same name:
William Gerard, MP → James Gerard (his father) → Lord William Gerard (his father) →
Elizabeth Norreys (his mother) → Elizabeth Norreys (her sister) →
Lord William Gerrard (her son)
Notice the two duplicate Elizebeth Norreys stuck right in the middle of that line?
Erica Howton , maybe you can help us sort this one out. Hopefully I didn't complicate it too much trying to point out the problems with it.
Thanks in advance, Debra
