Rev. John Christman Diemer, missionary in India may not be placed correctly in the Diemer pedigree as it now stands on Geni.
The July11, 1783 <jornals> entry refers to him as a son of Jacob Diemer at Halle.
I had previously thought that this Jacob and Capt. John Jacob Diemer, Sr. were the same men... I may be wrong.
The syntax of the text seems to indicate that the money was in Halle and Jacob ie. Capt. John Jacob Diemer, Sr. was in America.
Also why the Rev. HMM's son in Lancaster ( Rev Gotthilf Heinrich Ernst Muhlenberg, D.D., Botanist ) is interested in this matter is not clear.
Was the young Kurtz mentioned in the text a ward of the Diemer family? .. a nephew perhaps?
