From what I can tell, this connection seems to be yet another example of the fantastical garbage that David Hughes has blessed us with.

With regard to the line between "Adoa bat Assad" and Jakob Wyss II I am seeing a lot of work by Jaim Harlow, which is very concerning, although I do not have the necessary knowledge base yet to judge those connections.

This does bring up another problematic lineage on Geni, which is the exilarch line back to the biblical figures. From what I have found, it seems that we have fragmentary/contradictory lists of exilarchs, and later genealogists have attempted to piece them together into a coherent lineage. I will do some reading on the scholarship on the exilarchs in the next few weeks and see if I can find some insights into how to deal with these lineages.

Yes. Harlow is a big problem. And he had taken full "responsibility" for that period (he was a Curator for a while!). When I can find easy cases, I've fixed, mostly removed, his junk genealogy. SOME of it is good, and despite what Sharon says, I am not too knowledgeable of the Exilarch period. Just the basic outlines.

Your observations are correct. The "problem" is that the line SHOULD have been patrilinear, as a direct continuation of the line of the Kings of Judah, but in fact the "line" of Exilarchs was not. Sometimes it jumped to a nephew or even son IN-LAW. Also due to dirty politics, there were two lines in parallel (i.e. fragments). Do this a few times and you get a mess of contradictory lists.

People really WANT the tree to show a single coherent line. It's the closest to Jewish royalty. But the line just doesn't exist.

I can try and help you with specific cases, but less from concrete knowledge, than a feel for things. If you find a good reference, I'd love to hear of it. I'd especially like to find a reference about Zerubbabel 3rd Exilarch / זרובבל (2nd or 3rd Exilarch) that would be awesome. He's in my area of interest, being among the last people we have lineage for in the Jewish Bible. But he's currently disconnected from his ancestors, as I try to clean up that part of the tree, isolating the Biblical Tree.

I have ZERO knowledge about Muhammad, and wouldn't myself touch that tree, because of past flare-ups. The copies of his tree are piling up.
