I am curious if there are others out there who might be descendants of Finnish immigrants (who gave up their baby to adoption) in the early 1910´s (NYC) and if this was common? I figured out my grandfather was adopted recently as our entire family is 25 to 50 percent Finnish. This may have been a one off couple but curious if others have had a similar story. We know the mother and fortunately met the family and they are great. I have some thoughts as to who is the father but do not want to cause any stress on any family. Just maybe a medical history which I can learn on my own. Any thoughts or recommendations? We are waiting forever for the NYC pre adoption birth certificate.

Hi, Thank you for you message. Can you tell me his mothers name?
