Maybe a different couple?
Joseph Barker was born c1828 and his wife Ann Barker was born c1831.
Their son Thomas Barker Was born 1854
(Sources added to timelines of the profiles)
Thomas Richard Barker married Hester in 1850 so would have been born at the latest 1830
Re the 1851 marriage record of Ann CROSSLAND nee NICHOLSON and Joseph BARKER
I don't think they belong to either of these families
Joseph BARKER and Ann appear in the 1861 and 1871 England Census - with their children - with Joseph born c1828 and Ann born c1831.
It is extremely unlikely that Ann NICHOLSON born 1799 who married 1st NICHOLSON and 2nd BARKER is the mother of Thomas 1854, George 1859, Emma 1861, Alfred 1863 as she would have been 55 to 64 years old when her children were born.
The other family Thomas Richard BARKER was born 1825 in South Africa so they are not likely to be his family either.
