MRCA = Most Recent Common Ancestor
1) Do people agree that is just an estimate, a suggestion - not a statement of Fact?
it is not possible for anyone to go up a fraction of a generation to an ancestor so
If one has a MRCA of 3.6
2) if the most recent ancestor each went up to both went up to was part of the same ancestral couple, would that suggest
one of you goes up 3 generations to your common ancestor and the other goes up 4 generations.- average of 3 and 4 is 3.5 ? Or?
And
3) If the Most Recent Common Ancestor was not part of the same Couple - ie the other ancestor at that level was different - then how many generations up would it be suggesting for each ?
