"Lochs Ross, Druimtong, Scotland" has been put down as Henrietta’s place of birth but it isn't a place.
Lochs - Lochs is the name of a civil parish that was in the historical county of Ross-shire on the Isle of Lewis and Harris. Ross - I suppose, means Ross-shire (the historical county was abolished in 1889). Druimtong - is another name that was used for Tong, located in the Parish of Stornoway, Ross-shire.
We know that Henrietta was born on the Isle of Lewis and Harris, Scotland. I don't think it is certain exactly where on the island the family was living at the time of Henrietta’s birth. The Censuses give contradictory locations for her place of birth. The 1851 Census records that she was born in the Parish of Lochs, Ross-shire, which is located on the Lewis part of the island. The 1841 Census also states that Henrietta was born in Ross-shire. While according to the 1861 Census and the 1871 Census she was born in Harris, Inverness-shire, which is located on the Harris part of the island. I haven't seen the 1881 Census.
Henrietta's parents came from Harris, Inverness-shire. Henrietta was born about 1811 or so. By 1820, Henrietta's father Angus MacSween was recorded on a list of subtenants of Seaforth Head, in the Parish of Lochs, Ross-shire but it is not clear when the family was moved from Harris, Inverness-shire to the Parish of Lochs. When Seaforth Head was cleared in the mid 1820s, Henrietta’s family was then moved to Tong which is in the Parish of Stornoway, Ross-shire.
So the problem is, I think, that it's not clear when Angus MacSween and his family were cleared from Harris, Inverness-shire to the Parish of Lochs, Ross-shire and so we can't pinpoint Henrietta’s place of birth. I've looked at some records for Henrietta's siblings and unfortunately it's the same problem. From what I can see of the available records, at the moment, I think we can only say that Henrietta was born in either Harris, Inverness-shire, or Parish of Lochs, Ross-shire.
