Presently, Agnes Maxwell is identified in the Geni World Tree as the daughter of Patrick Maxwell of Newark (died post 16 June 1636), but the date proposed for her marriage by James MacFarlane suggests that her father is more likely to have been Patrick Maxwell of Newark (died before 4 November 1567).

In view of the uncertainty about the name of her father I believe that it would be better to disconnect Agnes Maxwell from the family tree of Maxwell of Newlands, rather than provide her with a false pedigree.
Alternative suggestions would be welcomed.
