Good evening. My name is Epson Fernandez. I’m from Miami, Florida. I was born with only my mother’s surname. I only knew my father when I was a little boy and I only reunited with him not long ago. I managed to learn about his family and cultures from La Paz, Honduras. I am curious about genealogy so I took Ancestry, 23andMe, myheritage and FTDNA. While ancestry and myheritage are autosomal tests, they do brought insight of my father’s background. 23andMe and FTDNA provided me a paternal haplogroup in different names. E-P277 or E-M4254. I don’t know if it’s the same haplogroup or a subdivision of the haplogroup. My furthest known paternal lineage ancestor was Manuel Francisco Francisco. He was likely from Comayagua, and immigrated to La Paz in the late 1700s. I need help to know more about the specific haplogroup in recent times.
