Beppie May Barth was born in 1939 and grew up in Amsterdam, Holland. At the age
of 3 her parents chose to hide her with a non Jewish couple before they were both
taken away to concentration camps. Her father, Abraham May zt'l, was killed as
was the entire May family, Hy'd. Her mother, Adele, B'H survived and they were
reunited after the war. They spent several more years in Holland and in 1949
moved to New York City. Beppie spent many years as a beloved Special Education
teacher and impacted the lives of countless students.
