Erna married Janis Purvins in June 1944 and they lived in Mitau.
As the Russians approached, they were evacuated to Langenhagen.
There 25 May 1948 when that part was occupied by the Russians.
Got Janis order to report to the Police and food for 8 days.
It was understood that he was to be taken to Russia.
Then they asked the farmer if he could help Janis out of the country.
Who helped Janis to Wismar where he had to pay 5000 marks for the passage to Sweden.

Erna asked the farmer for help and she was able to arrive in Sweden on 8 July 1948
