DNA vs. Geni's World Tree

I have taken both the DNA and MTDNA tests. I was reviewing those who have 0 distance with me on the Mitochondrial Test but they don't have a relationship with me on the World tree. Does anyone have experience with work with DNA and how I use it in concert with the World tree?

Amanda Torrey (Moyer) UZ9855520 - if you have 0 distance to someone on the MtDNA Test then there is a really good chance you two have a common ancestor within the past 650 years.

Do you each have a Tree that goes back that far?
