Tvrdeic -Posa – The engagement is announced between Ivan Anthony, of Auckland, eldest son of Mr and Mrs Ivan Tvrdeic, Cara- Korcula, Yugoslavia and Flora Mary, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Mark Posa, Walton Street Whangarei.
This was 12 October 1940 shortly before Ivan went to war and later killed in action.

The letter of the New Zealand Minister of Defence, F. Jones, to Ivan’s fiancée Flora Poša
The second day after the crash of the aircraft in which Ivan Tvrdeić perished, the Minister of Defence of New Zealand sent the following letter to Ivan’s fiancée Flora Poša in which he informed her about the tragic event and expressed his deep condolence on behalf of the President of the Government of New Zealand and the whole government:
