What is the source for Mary Alice "DeeDee" Young marrying Unknown Ferguson

Dear Leanne,

According to Family Search Mary Alice Young married a Henry M Garrick in 1905. The NSW marriage index confirms this. According to Keith Clark, a second cousin, she was a partner of <Private> Ferguson and produced a daughter Elsie O Young in 1899 or 1904. Records also show she was a spinster. Could there possibly be 2 Mary Alice Youngs and the information has been confused?
I have written to Keith for more information.

Could be a confusion as Mary YOUNG is a fairly common name. Between 1870 and 1890 there were at least 52 Mary YOUNG's born in NSW
