Her parents were Ambrose Yarborough, Sr. and Mary Mason.

Also, please correct her spelling to match that seen on both the DAR and her father's will. "Yarber" can be listed among her nicknames if you wish to include it.

According to the Yarborough Family Association, Ambrose Yarborough, Jr. married Susan Layton and preceded his father in death, sans progeny. The will of Ambrose Yarborough, Sr., signed August 27, 1788 in Union County, South Carolina, names five living children, dividing his estate into five equal shares among them. Son Ambrose Jr. was not named, nor was his wife Susan, and no grandchildren were named in the will. Stephen Layton along with Peter Pinnell were co-executors.

I don't believe Ambrose Yarborough, Jr. ever married "Mary Humphrey" or had any children with anyone by that name. For further information please review [https://www.yarbroughfamily.org/YMbrs/archives/Blandford/Vol148.pdf the Yarborough Family Association pedigree charts and family group sheet for Ambrose Yarborough, Sr.] , and Ambrose Yarborough, Sr.'s will which is on record both in the original manuscript and transcribed.

It appears that both Findagrave and Geni users, along with some other websites, have inadvertently confabulated and/or confused Ambrose Sr. and Jr.

I needed to sort out all the Ambrose Yarboroughs/Yarbroughs after realizing that Ambrose Lee Yarbrough who was at one time sheriff of Greene County, Missouri, was the son of Humphrey Yarborough and the grandson of Ambrose Yarborough, Sr.

Ambrose Lee Yarbrough was the executor of the will of James Kimberling, Jr., whose wife Phoebe "Jane" Pinnell is also a grandchild of Ambrose Yarborough, Sr.; consequently Ambrose Lee Yarbrough and "Jane" (Pinnell) Kimberling were actually first cousins.

In order to repair my family's branch of the tree, we need Nancy 'Ann' Pinnell moved to her real parents, and the spelling of her surname corrected.

Please, and thank you in advance.

Private User - Nancy 'Ann' Pinnell has been moved to correct parents.

The children currently attached to Ambrose Jr. may belong to Humphrey Sr. & Mary Lee.

I just moved over Beulah Bobo as daughter of Humphrey Yarbrough, Sr. & Mary Yarbrough

Thank you so much, Erica I really appreciate it.

I've just finished relocating the other children attached to Ambrose Yarborough, Jr. Lewis belonged to the SC Yarbroughs who went to Louisiana. John W. Yarbrough was possibly an emigrant from Ireland, he's not in the Blandford book. I'll detach Mary Humphrey as wife, and please add Ambrose Jr.'s real wife.

Awesome, I'll add his wife now.

Is William Moses Yarborough in the Blandford book?

Erica Howton I didn't find William Moses Yarborough in the same volume with Ambrose's line.

However, the Association has I don't know how many separate volumes for different branches of Yarboroughs. There are literally tons of American Yarboroughs and that Association seems to have covered practically all of them. But there are so many they had to divide it into a number of different volumes.

Sometimes googling the name will turn up the right volume, but I haven't tried that one yet.

Ambrose Yarbrough's line is volume #148, just to give you an idea of how many volumes of information they have on hand.

Erica Howton I looked him up in the Master Index and found this:

Yarbrough, William Moses Vol. 157 10,
Vol. 80 55, 57

So if you can find either volume (157, 80) online, you might be in luck.
