Susannah "Sookie" Saturday's parents were at Fort Christianna. She was born in Virginia and died over 100 years later in Tattnall County. Lived in Emanuel. We also know that genetically it is not even possible that she had children with James Saturday, that James Saturday was not Mariah MCDANIEL - MCDONALD grandfather and that Reddick and Nicey Saturday were not her mother, father, brother or sister or any relation by blood. Sheriff Cowart also knew it in 1847. We know that Susannah and Mariah were Eastern Shawnee. The Shawnee used to call themselves Cherokee. They called themselves Shawnee - Cherokee. But that is because of the History. After Dunmore's War, they were pushed South (Eastern Shawnee) while the other Shawnee were pushed back and forth across the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers. Those Shawnee came under the protections of the Iroquois. So, Shawnee - Cherokee. But the Shawnee in Georgia lived with the Uchi in the Lower Creek Nation. Other than those who lived further north Georgia, with the Cherokee. When Bill Clinton became President he told the "Shawnee - Cherokee", hey you can be one or the other but not both. So they chose what they really were, Shawnee. There are three Shawnee Tribes in Oklahoma, the Absentee Shawnee, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, are mostly descendants of the Eastern Shawnee of Georgia and Alabama.

Mariah's mother Nancy Saturday is listed on the 1850 as Mulatto. Her mother Susanna (Sukie) Saturday is listed on the Warren County GA list of Black People, 25 March 1819 as a black person age 50. Said she originated from Halifax VA. There is also a Slave Schedule for Andrew McDanniel, who supposedly fathered Marirah. On the 1880 Census, they are all listed as Mulatto.
