I'm not part of the Boones or messing with the profiles of em im from a lot of quakers on my family but Daniel Boones mom on memorial and Wikipedia states her maiden name Morgan just to point out def get in contact with someone for sure hope it gets protected. Just me Ive seen Sarah as Sarah Morgan on everything unless it's been hugely mistaken on Wikipedia and memorial etc. for sure that's news to me that Daniels mom is not a Morgan that's pretty wild

Got associated with the Boone side because my 4th pa was thought to be the son of Daniels aunt Mirriam Morgan which is debunked now but found out my 4th pa is part of DAR really cool.

Interesting checked out Sarah's find a grave they have the Quaker records showing actual Quaker records with John Jarman and children including Sarah huh.. that's wild

Wish the best for ya guys to get that fixed

Wikipedia and memorial needs huge update Sarah's father is John Jarman whew!

Yeah, I deleted by mistake. I checked, I can't undelete. I see Bjorn Brox, and others have brought in John Jarman as Sarah's mother's father. This is causing corruption by adding Morgan surname, which is being perpetuated by altering Jarman surname to Morgan surname on the Gwyneed Meeting record. Every place on that quoted record, on the overview by Piercy, where it states, Morgan actually states Jarman. I truly believe, some so-called researchers are twisting the facts, in order to add Morgan surname in, where it actually does not belong, causing corruption. Yet, I am not going to argue about it, some of us, who have done the research, actually know the correct ancestry, that Morgan does not go here. Happy researching...

The Boone Society is the primary authority on the Boone Family.
Any dispute is always referred to them, and according to their records, of which the.earliest generations in Pennsylvania were documented by James Boone, Squire Boone married SARAH MORGAN:

From Document owned by the Boone Society:

(4) 1696 Squire ye son of George Boone baptized December ye 25th

From James Boone Genealogy: “SQUIRE BOONE (son of George & Mary Boone) was born on the Fourth Day of the Week, between 11 & 12 in the Forenoon, on the 25 November 1696.”

Squire married Sarah Morgan 23 July 1720 at the Gwynned Meeting of Quakers, Berks Co, Pennsylvania. Squire died 2 January 1765 and Sarah died 1777; both buried at Mocksville, North Carolina.

5th Generation continued

(4. Children of Squire Boone)

The 11 Children of Squire & Sarah Morgan Boone:

( 1) Sarah Boone, b. 7 June 1724

( 2) Israel Boone, b. 9 May (Old style) 1726

( 3) Samuel Boone, b. 20 May 1728

( 4) Jonathan Boone, b. 6 Dec. 1730

( 5) Elizabeth Boone, b. 5 Feb. 1732

( 6) Daniel Boone, b. 22 Oct. 1734

( 7) Mary Boone, b. 3 Nov. 1736

( 8) George Boone, b 2 Jan. 1739

( 9) Edward Boone, b. 19 Nov. 1740

(10) Squire Boone (Jr.), b. 5 Oct. 1744

(11) Hannah Boone, b. Aug. 1746

ALSO, the fact that COLONEL DANIEL BOONE named a son DANIEL MORGAN BOONE, may give a hint of Colonel Daniel's mother's maiden name.

Any disputes need to be taken up directly with the Boone Society.

Btw, Squire and Sarah had a SON named EDWARD BOONE, and a DAUGHTER named ELIZABETH BOONE.

Geni is beginning to straighten up, they are clearing up middle names that aren't supposed to be, according to sources, including the Boone Society. Such as Maugridge and many others that have added middle names, in place they are not supposed to be, according to sources of facts.

No, Find-a-Grave lists SARAH MORGAN'S MOTHER as having the maiden name of Jarman, which is in line with other records.

This is from Find-a-Grave at
https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/8117559/sarah-boone

"Sarah was one of 10 children born to Edward Morgan Sr (1660-1736) and Elizabeth Jarman 1670-1731), both born in Wales. Elizabeth's parents John & Margaret Jarman were active in Society of Friends in Wales. Elizabeth was born in Wales but by 1684, her parents had brought the family to Radnor, PA, where her only brother was born.
Records indicate that Edward was the same Edward Morgan listed as a passenger on the ship "Evening Star" which brought immigrants from Liverpool, England to America in 1683. Edward probably traveled from Merionethshire, Wales to Liverpool before setting sail To America. He settled in Pennsylvania, where he married Elizabeth Jarman on about 1690 in Radnor, PA. He & Elizabeth were Quakers. Edward built them a stone house in Towamencin
Sarah & Squire, also Quakers, married in 1720 in Gwynedd Meeting , Philadelphia, PA. (see "John and Sarah Boone Wilcockson's Quaker Heritage" by Benny G Coxton, a Boone-Wilcockson, published 2020.).

Note: SARAH BOONE WILCOCKSON was a daughter of Squire Boone and Sarah Morgan Boone.

There are three duplicates for Edward Nathaniel (Ned) Boone, three by the same user.

There is also, a Sarah Jarman born 1695 to John and Sarah, some "researchers", say married a Thomas Thomas, with highly doubtful, imaginary sources. She is the Sarah, who is showing with sources to be the correct Sarah. Find-a-Grave or any other source on the world wide web is only as good as the research of the "researcher", adding to the profile, facts being looked at are also, a selection of the curator's belief of what is fact or fictional. A lot of writings are published of these ancestors. Which ones are correct is a choice.
