Can I get a little help? A while ago SC was working for me and then for no reason SC quit. I clicked on the 'i 'icon and got a request for a donation. That is the first time that I have ever seen this. Did a small donation and SC begin working. That was several weeks ago. Today, I tried to use SC and got the same request for a donation. Made a small donation, got informed that the donation had gone to a Rebecca Centers. But, SC is not working. I really don't understand this, why have I been asked for a donation, not once but twice.

Donations are voluntary and have no effect on whether SC works or not. There is no need to press on the "I" for information box to use SC.
You should see and press this icon

If that icon is greyed, it is not active.
Otherwise, press that icon to get the "Set Geni Destination Profile box."

SC stopped working on Ancestry and parts of MH a while ago. See discussions in the above link.

I could not proceed the last time w/SC without a donation.

Why would SC be active one day and not the next?

I will contact the suggested discussion site.

You should read back in the discussion. Both the gray icon issue and the lack of working of some of the sites is discussed. Just take the time and read the comments going backwards.
