In short, An attorney paid a researcher/genealogist to find the parents of Ephraim Osborne 1723 that married Elizabeth Howard and he had a brother Caleb Oborne 1725 that married Hannah Howard.
When he got the information he shared it with all those in his family. And later decided that the information was incorrect!
IT was too late, the rumor spread throughout the family!
That happened in 1930. It was 94 years ago and no one has cleaned up the information! The Kansas State HIstorical had the information about it being incorrect!
