Checking the 40 year period 1770-1810 the only Henry and William Clack who were born in Suffolk (other than Henry & William were their older brother Henry who was baptised 16/3/1777) and their father William. It would be the greatest of coincidences if there were two brothers with the same Christian names and also born 9 years apart.
The discrepancy in their ages between the IGI, baptisms, the Assize information and the 1828 census is 6 years for both Henry & William. Thus Henry 1787-1790-1793 and William 1778-1781-1784. These are prime examples of uneducated people not knowing when they were born or baptised and discrepancies can creep in. Official bodies such as the church or Law, had no means of checking age information they were given and just accepted what they were told.
If these two convicts were not Henry & William sons of William & Priscilla Clack (nee Huggins), who else could they have been?
Family descendants of the family of Henry & Priscilla Clack can account for all family apart from Henry & William who they were unable to trace in England after 1809.
I am not the only descendant of Henry & Sarah Clack, Clarke (nee Bellamy) with a DNA connection traced to this family.
Geni accepts less unsubstantiated records for some profiles I am researching, I fail to see why this is not acceptable proof of pasrents.
