Susannah Parker did not die on December 31, 1833, but rather her husband, William Parker did die on that date. William Parker left Warwick, Rhode Island and moved to New York state circa 1825. On February 1, 1826 he requested a transfer of his pension from Rhode Island to Blodgett Mills, New York. His pension request lists him as a widow and that he had moved to New York with his sons, Colvin and William C.

I am a descendant of William Parker and know he is buried in the Highland Cemetery, Lapeer, NY. The large obelisk located in the Marathon Cemetery (Marathon, NY) includes both his and Susannah's names and a death date of 12/21/1833. Susannah died before 1826, but the location of her burial is unknown and it is not in Marathon, NY, unless her body was moved to NY later on.

We are trying to figure out who placed this obelisk at the cemetery, but have not found an answer yet.

Please be aware there are two DIFFERENT people named William Parker - William Parker of Rhode Island who moved to New York state and William Parker of Groton, Massachusetts.

Please see https://homepages.rootsweb.com/~nelson/revwar/will33.html for support that she married William Parker. (Supported by https://archive.org/details/vitalrecordsofgrgrot/page/52/mode/2up (Groton book 1 - births) and https://archive.org/details/vitalrecordsofgrgrot_1/page/130/mode/2up (Groton book 2 - marriages & deaths))
