Hi, My ancestors did come from general area of Miskolcs. In fact, in the early 1900s I spent about a week or two in the vicinity giving a state dept. seminar to Hungarian managers post fall of Communism. Seems like a long time ago. In any case my father's mother family is named Feuerman and they are from Tiscaesler (the town of the blood libel), my name is Marcus and my paternal grandfather Josef Markus or Markusz who came to the US around 1906, and my mother family names are Fried and Wilkowicz and they come from Kiryhasa near Huszt, Sighet, and Munkacs. She came to the states in 2024. I believe my grandfather Josef may have been born in Munkacs of Miskolcs. His history is not well known to me. So I am wondering why I am being included in the lineage of this distinguished famly that came from Rav Wiener and has such important names in Hungarian Jewry as Jungreis and Wertheimer. Can anyone help answer this question?
