My gg grandfather Nelson Ward born 1816 likely Berkeley VA and died 1874 Gallia Co. Ohio was the son of Aaron Ward 1776-1845 of Columbiana County Ohio.
Proof is a deed after the death of Aaron showing Nelson and his siblings signing over their inherited land portion of Aaron's farm to their sibling Henry. This deed shows the signatures of Nelson Ward and wife Faithful, my great great grandparents.
A past President of the Ohio Genealogical Society sent me a notice that my Nelson Ward was the son of Aaron Ward of Columbiana according to his research and his own family tree which was related. His name was Paul Morehouse.
