Whenever I bring up my ggg grandfather Aaron Ward 1776-1845 in online research he is showing as son of Phineas Ward 1744 of Marlborough Mass, NH and Canada.
In researching Phineas his son Aaron was born 1770. He had a son Daniel born fall of 1776 so his son Aaron not likely born April 1776 but more likely 1770.
As the grave of my ggg gg Aaron in Rogers, Columbiana County Ohio states his age as born 1776 I question that Phineas is our Aaron's father.
Our Aaron was married in Berkeley Co. Va in 1807. He shows in census there in 1810. He shows in Fallowfield Wash. Co Pa in 1820 census. He shows in Middleton Columbiana Co. Ohio 1830 until his death in 1845.
He is buried Mt. Zion Methodist Church there.
In following naming patterns names Robert, Joshua, John, Nelson, Henry, show and there were several Joshua Ward's in the Berkeley VA area who could be a lead to his ancestry. I am researching every day to find a documented link.
I have found a Joel Ward born about 1727 Berkeley VA with wife Elenor 1740 died Bunker Hill area.
I have found a Joshua born about 1727 in Berkeley also and am pursing any leads that might prove they were related to 'my' Aaron and not the Phineas Ward line.
As I had my brother tested on FamilyTreeDna and he is E-M35 proven and I see a descendant of Phineas as a different Y DNA Haplogroup, more
evidence.
As the NH birth certificate for Aaron Ward of Phineas says April 1770 more evidence that Aaron of Phineas is not the father of my Aaron Ward.
Does anyone have anymore information to support my theory?
