Hello,
for years the object om my researches was concentrated mainly onto the father line but at some point I decided to go as deep as possible in my mother's genetic heritage and found that through her I belong to this seemingly rare Haplogroup.
My mother is Italian and so were all the family members known to me but I have to admit I know next to nothing past my great grandmother on her side.
Apparently my mother carries a fair amount of " Ashkenazy Jewish" DNA (whatever that means ) while I expected a Jewish descend from my father's side (there are some family accounts about that) , but most matches that I see on FTDNA are Scandinavian or Finnish.
Any match that I have found, to date, is extremely remote and we aren't going to find any common trait easily.
I am interest in comments about this
Kind Regards
Andrea
