I have copies of the marriage certificate for Margaret Birket and Robert Smith, also copies of the census record for Margaret Smith for 1881 and 1891 and her death registration for 1900 - her name is Margaret in all these documents. Her name is Margaret in the birth certificate and baptism record for her daughter Margaret Jane Smith - do not know where the name Catherine has been dug up from but it is incorrect.
