John Davis Sr my 5th Great Grandfather was born circa 1720 Virginia? and died leaving a will in 1799 in Edgecombe Co. North Carolina. This line has nothing to do with John Wyatt Davis that has been confused many times. My John Davis married a woman named Lucretia that went by Ann and was mentioned in the will. One of her daughters was named after her but was spelled Lucresy. All Children known with exception of James his son was mentioned in John Seniors will. Aaron Davis was executor of the will but have never been able to find who he is. Obviously close kin. No middle name of this John have I been able to find, would like any documentation if someone has in on John. No known name verified of Lucretia being a Boswell unless someone has documentation. Found where in 1755 Edgecombe Co. where Margaret Shaw left this John all of her belongings. No mention of Johns father or the fact Margaret went by Shaw instead of Davis, would like to see any documentation if anyone has this.Just want to make sure the right lines are being researched and not mixed together with others, which is easy to do. Please comment back and if anyone has verified info would love to hear. I have researched since the 1980s and hit many brick walls. Thanks Rick Davis
