Where does "Hyman" come from?
"Henry" is the usual Americanization I have seen for [Khenokh] = Henoch = Genoch = his name in Hebrew on his Gravestone and those of his children "Dorah", Casper, and Ada.
And he is Henry on the records I have found so far for him in the US.
