3 x Ellen Carter's confused

Hi Jason,
I have sent you a couple of msgs via Geni.com.
Ellen Carter is completely wrong. And people have copied it.
I had somebody here yesterday who has done a lot of research on the family & got certificates etc to give the right info.
Paperspast even mentions her and her fathers name, so it is correct.
She married a guy in Picton and lived & died there .She adopted one daughter who died at the age of 7 yrs.

Her name is spelt wrong in BDMs: that's why we couldn't find it. 

Are you happy for me to go ahead and correct your info on Geni.com. Saves double handling information.
There is removal of double husbands and family.
It's all a work in progress. lol

I spent this morning reversing 34 deletes and reversing 48 blanking of profile names to revert the profiles to what the profile managers had added originally.

I have added sources to 3 Ellen's as none were attached previously

A Helen CARTER married a Robert HUMBER in 1864 in New Zealand (Source NZ Marriages)
A Ellen HUMBER died in 1927 with a birth date of c1842 (Source NZ Deaths)
There is no grave in New Zealand for Ellen HUMBER in find-a-grave - there is an E HUMBER but it contains no dates and no identifying information.

A Ellen CARTER married Robert Davis AUSTIN in 1863 in New Zealand (Source NZ Marriages)
They were having children together up to 1882 - so cannot be the same Ellen who married HUMBER in 1864.
Robert AUSTIN died in 1892
A Ellen AUSTIN married Charles Willkinson BROWN in 1892
Ellen, Robert and Charles graves are on Find A Grave
According to Find A Grave - this Ellen was born in England in 1847

Joseph CARTER and Sarah COSGROVE emigrated to New Zealand in 1839 arriving 1840 - with 3 daughters and 1 son -
According to the Petone Settlers Data they had a daughter Ellen Edwards CARTER in 1843

I haven't been able to find any sources that connect any of these Ellen's

has Ellen CARTER 1847-1924 as the daughter of John CARTER 1817-1881 and Mary HUNTER 1825-1902

Sources include

• an 1847 England Birth Record
• an 1851 England Census

It looks like the family emigrated to NZ sometime between 1851 and 1867
